Yes, many smart nutritionists and researchers often cite the Mediterranean diet as optimal. I choose not to use the term sometimes just because it suggests “a diet,” and other experts prefer to talk about “good eating habits” or “eating healthy” and avoid diet labels that might lump a good one in with all the questionable ones. TMI, I’m sure, but thought you might appreciate hearing my logic. :)
