Whether nose-breathing is ideal for exercise needs a little more research, but there's some evidence (mentioned in the story) that it can be the best approach. I use nose-breathing when I bike or run or do yoga to help me keep a reasonable pace that can last, since I focus more on endurance than speed. But I go with the mouth when I'm pushing hard -- it's something I plan to experiment with more.
