We might have to agree to disagree on some of this. I appreciate that getting people to exercise is hard, but the pitfalls of a sedentary lifestyle are the roots of the problem this article aims to address. There is growing evidence, including this from study, that physical activity works better than counseling or the leading medications for alleviating symptoms of anxiety and depression (per this study, 1.5 times more effective). I state that for many people, a combination of treatments is needed, but the evidence for the benefits of exercise are too compelling to downplay, imo.
