Totally agree that starting school later is smart. It would allow kids and teens to get more sleep, and many of them need more than they are getting. There’s strong science supporting this. I wrote about it here: https://robertroybritt.medium.com/schools-and-parents-let-kids-sleep-in-9c06577e9ac4 . But science also says that eliminating DST and going to permanent Standard Time would give kids (and adults) more morning daylight, which is good for the circadian system and improves sleep. So both would be beneficial, the experts say.
