There are numerous stretches and strenghtening exercises designed for people with scoliosis. You're probably aware of them, but your comment is a good reminder that walking may not be the best or only solution for everyone. I had low-level chronic pain for decades, and learned only a year or so ago that yoga is an excellent remedy.
