But, since you bring it up: Some supplements can interact negatively with medications, so it's wise to do your research on that; and the proliferation of supplements (and lack of FDA oversight) adds to overall health risks of pill-popping because a) we can't always be sure what's in them and b) for many if not most supplements, we don't have any solid evidence to suggest they work as marketed.
