The research on all this points to averages and typical scenarios, but not to each individual and their overall personal health profile. So I can't evaluate a given person's sleep schedule, but it sounds like you've landed on a schedule that works for you. And waking up during the night is normal. Your approach may be unusual, but that doesn't necessarily make it bad. The best measure of quality sleep is how one feels during the day. If you have good energy and focus throughout your days, that's a sign that something is going well at night.
