That's a heckuva challenge, as you note. Since I'm not a doctor and don't know your condition, I can't offer any specific advice, but sleep apnea has a variety of potential causes, from genetic to being overweight and sedentary, so one who thinks they might have it should first seek a medical diagnosis and then, with or without OSA, many of the same guidelines for good sleep hygiene can make a big difference for most people. Problem with OSA diagnoses is, as one sleep expert told me, only a small fraction of people actually follow through on the advice they are given.
