I think a lot about how we'll never be as strong or fast as we used to be, but I have a workaround: Measure performance in things you've never focused on before. So, for example, if you've never put much effort into push-ups or planking or bicep curls or jogging or whatever, you might be able to do more than you've ever done in such an activity. The satisfaction of doing so can be really uplifting, motivating further progress. For you, maybe squeeze a pickleball 20 times, if you've never tried. Then work up to 30. But remember: Grip strength is just a proxy. Worry more about just being active and your best health odds will fall into place.
