I probably should have mentioned, in this article, and any article about fitness, that it’s good and even great to take a day off now and then from any sort of strenuous activity. One can (and should) walk and move every day, but rest is important, too. I am currently ramping up my running mileage, on the heels of several months of intense mountain biking and with either activity I make sure to take one or two days a week off, during which I stick to stretching/yoga, walking and other less intense stuff.
