Hey Zoe: Some of the advice on reading in dim light is rather hyped up, to be sure. We don't need to nix all lights in the evening to promote good sleep. Experts tell me it's helpful simply to turn off any lights in the home that you aren't using, and dim others if it's practical to do so. Reading a good book in sufficient light is unlikely to make or break your sleep experience. It's wise to wind down any reading on a phone or other device, and/or put the device in night mode, but stressful content is likely to have a greater effect than the light from the device. I read in bed almost every night... for about 2 minutes!
