Any reputable science/health story ought to include links to studies mentioned. As for personal trainers, I think they are a great idea for some people. It comes down to what motivates you. I kinda like figuring out my own plan, and I enjoy exercising in solitude. But other people love having a partner or coach or even a group. The best approach is the one that gets you moving.
